About Nabad TV
Nabad TV is a Somali television network headquartered in Jigjiga, the capital city of the Somali regional state. The network is dedicated to covering the economic, political, social, and cultural affairs of Somalis in the region and East Africa. It was founded to give a voice to Somalis in Ethiopia, particularly those in the Somali region, who had been silenced for decades due to the oppressive government and lack of private media.
Over the past 40 years, the Somali people in the region have endured war, violence, and torture as a part of their daily lives. With no media outlets to report on these issues, many untold stories have remained hidden from society and the international community.
Nabad TV aims to uncover these stories and bring them to light, while also informing, educating, inspiring, and entertaining Somali-speaking communities. By providing trustworthy and quality television programs, the network strives to build a positive image of the Somali Regional State.
