Listen to Luxembourg Global Radio - Eeasy listening and local news

Luxembourg Global Radio (LGR) is a 24-hour online radio station you can stream from your browser at globalradio.lu. Press "Listen live" and the music starts. No cable or TV box needed.

What the station plays

The playlist leans on easy listening and international hits, old and new, with music from Luxembourg artists mixed in. Between tracks, the focus stays local. Think news, culture and events seen from a Luxembourg angle, plus features on festivals, concerts, exhibitions and landmarks like Luxembourg City and the Moselle valley.

One thing to know before you search: LGR is a radio station, not a TV channel. The site loads a visual player while you listen, but the station itself is online radio.

Who this suits

Residents of Luxembourg get easy background music and local updates. Visitors planning a trip can pick up ideas on what to see and do. Luxembourgers living abroad get a simple way to stay close to home. The station describes itself as something you can tune in to wherever you are.

How to listen

The official website is the main way in. Alongside the live player, the site has a News section and a What's On page covering events like Luxembourg Art Week, the Luxembourg City Film Festival, Fête de la Musique and Night of Museums. Listening while you browse the event listings works well. Stream quality will feel different from one viewer to the next, so a quick try is the best test.
