CGNTV South Korea is a Korean-language Christian channel that runs around the clock, and you can follow the live broadcast on the web, in an app or on a Smart TV. No commercial ads break up the schedule.
What CGNTV Korea broadcasts
The network is operated by the Onnuri Mission Foundation and opened in 2005, with close ties to Seoul's Onnuri Church. In 2008 the network also added its first cable channel in Korea.
The schedule centers on worship, devotionals, teaching, Christian documentaries, children's shows and music. Titles include 하늘빛향기, 바이블킹 and the documentary 바울로부터 ("From Paul"). The focus is faith and church life, not mainstream entertainment.
CGN runs on donations from the Christian community instead of commercial advertising. That sets the channel apart from religious broadcasters that carry ads.
Who the channel is for
The core audience is Protestant families, local churches, pastors, Sunday school teachers and anyone looking for faith content in Korean. Koreans living abroad are a second group, reached through the Japanese, Chinese and US channels in the CGNTV network.
The library is large, free to watch, and built around daily church and family life.
How to watch CGN online
Streaming runs through Fondant (퐁당), the network's Christian OTT platform. Fondant launched officially in 2022 and holds more than 40,000 titles, from kids' shows to sermons. Supported devices:
- Web browser
- Android and iOS apps
- Samsung and LG Smart TVs
- Android TV
Inside Korea, cable and IPTV providers also carry the channel, and the channel number depends on your provider. One thing to note: the old cgntv.net service has been shut down, so cgnkorea.net is the address to use.
Stream quality will feel different from one viewer to the next, so a quick try is the best test.
