24 News is a 24-hour Malayalam-language news television channel operated by Insight Media City, the company behind Flowers TV. It was officially launched on December 8, 2018, with its headquarters in Kochi, additional studios in Thiruvananthapuram, and international bureaus. The channel is promoted by veteran journalist and anchor Sreekandan Nair, with Alungal Muhammed serving as chairman.
The concept of 24 News was developed in 2016, alongside an online news portal and studio setup. After more than two years of testing, the channel began full-scale broadcasting and quickly expanded its reporter network while investing in in-depth news and discussion programs. This helped it gain strong TRP rankings among news channels in Kerala.
24 News focuses on current affairs, politics, and social issues, offering short news bulletins, discussion shows, special reports, and popular morning and prime-time programs.
