DZRH-TV, now known as DZRH News Television, is a news and public affairs channel operated by Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC), one of the oldest and most respected broadcast networks in the Philippines. The channel was created as the television counterpart of DZRH Radio, which was established in 1923, continuing its long-standing mission of public service and truth-centered journalism.
DZRH-TV first went on air on April 11, 1962, broadcasting on VHF Channel 11 from its studios in Manila, with relay transmitters in several major cities. From 1962 to 1972, the channel experienced a strong growth period, offering a wide range of programs including news, entertainment shows, dramas, talk shows, and live sports coverage.
Its operations were halted in 1972 following the declaration of Martial Law, which forced the shutdown of MBC’s television facilities. After 1986, MBC made several attempts to return to television, eventually relaunching in 2007 with a new format focused on news and radio–TV simulcasts from DZRH Radio.
Today, DZRH News Television serves as MBC’s main television news platform, delivering current affairs, public discussions, and community-oriented programming. The channel is available through YouTube, official websites, Facebook Live, cable services, and digital terrestrial broadcasts in selected areas of the Philippines.
