KVF 2, a public television channel in the Faroe Islands (an archipelago in the North Atlantic Ocean and an autonomous territory of the Kingdom of Denmark), was launched in 1984. It is owned by Kringvarp Føroya (Faroese Broadcasting Corporation) and broadcasts primarily in Faroese.
