GSTV (Jewelry☆GSTV) is the only television channel in Japan dedicated entirely to jewelry, based in Shinagawa, Tokyo. The channel combines live shopping with gemological education and lifestyle content, allowing viewers to both purchase jewelry and gain a deeper understanding of gemstones.
Officially established in 1988, GSTV grew out of CEO Toru Imahashi’s gemstone importing and wholesale business, which began in 1975. Over time, the channel expanded its jewelry shopping programs, moved to HD broadcasting, and partnered with major satellite broadcasters such as BS-TBS and BS Fuji.
GSTV’s core programming consists of daily live jewelry shows, featuring original designs that are carefully inspected and certified by the company. In addition, the channel produces special series focused on rare gemstones, jewelry lifestyle themes, and documentary programs that explore gemstone origins at mines around the world.
The channel operates its own gemological laboratory for analysis, certification, and advanced research. GSTV mainly serves women aged 30 to 65 who value authenticity, craftsmanship, and long-term quality. Beyond TV and online streaming, the brand also runs physical showrooms and a gem museum, offering customers the chance to experience its jewelry in person.
