Nos Pais Television is a commercial multimedia broadcaster based in Willemstad, Curaçao. Founded in 2012 by media veteran Mavis Albertina, who has over 50 years of industry experience, the station officially launched its operations in May 2014. It stands out as the only "edutainment" channel in Curaçao, focusing on a mission to boost the country’s economic and social well-being through a mix of education and entertainment.
What really sets Nos Pais Television apart from other regional stations is that 70% of its content is produced in-house. Instead of relying heavily on shows imported from the U.S. or elsewhere, the network creates its own original programming covering news, business, sports, culture, and education. Key shows like Prome Enkuentro and Hard Talks focus on current affairs and community issues, often featuring the founder herself.
The channel mainly targets a younger, multicultural audience between the ages of 15 and 40. To reach them, the network uses a multi-platform approach, broadcasting via traditional cable across the Caribbean islands (Curaçao, Aruba, Bonaire, and Saint Martin) and offering mobile apps for Android and iOS. To stay inclusive, all programs are available in three languages: Papiamentu, Dutch, and English, catering to both local viewers and the diaspora community in the Netherlands.
