Andorra Televisió (ATV) is the main public TV channel in Andorra, run by the state broadcaster RTVA. Since its launch in 1995, it’s been the go-to place for local news and culture, playing a big part in keeping the Catalan language alive for the country's 82,500 residents.

Growth and Key Milestones

The channel’s roots go back to 1989 with the creation of ORTA, but it officially started its regular daily broadcasts on December 5, 1995. A major step forward happened in 2002 when they joined the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), which allowed them to take part in big international events like the Eurovision Song Contest for several years.

When it comes to what’s on, ATV’s schedule is built around its daily news program, l'Informatiu.
