RTRS TV (Televizija Republike Srpske) is the official public television channel of the Republika Srpska entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Operated by the public company Radio-Televizija Republike Srpske, it is one of the three pillars of the country's public broadcasting system, alongside BHRT and RTVFBiH.
The channel first went on air in 1992 from Banja Luka, evolving from a local radio service established in 1967. In 2015, RTRS launched a second channel, RTRS PLUS, offering fast news, documentaries, and children's programming.
RTRS TV features a wide range of content: news and current affairs (with the flagship program Dnevnik), political analysis, talk shows, culture, sports, entertainment, and films. Its editorial tone is formal and aligned with the Republika Srpska authorities, while also emphasizing Serbian cultural identity and language, using both Cyrillic and Latin scripts.
The channel primarily targets Serbian-speaking audiences in Republika Srpska and neighboring Balkan regions. It keeps viewers engaged by serving as a trusted official news source, offering locally relevant content, and being accessible across multiple platforms: terrestrial TV, cable, satellite, the rtrs.tv website, a mobile app, and livestream services.
With broad coverage across Bosnia and Herzegovina and parts of the Western Balkans, RTRS TV holds a significant role in the regional media landscape – fulfilling both its public service mission and its function as a cultural and policy communication channel for the Serbian community.
