Oman Sports TV (قناة عمان الرياضية) is the official satellite sports television channel of the Sultanate of Oman, headquartered in Muscat and operated by Oman Television. Launched on January 1, 2013, it replaced the former “Second Programme” and became the country’s first dedicated sports channel.
Since 2015, Oman Sports TV has been broadcasting 24 hours a day and has invested in modern technology, including a new studio with Video Wall systems to improve production quality and sports analysis. The channel mainly focuses on football, holding broadcasting rights to key domestic and international competitions involving the Oman national team, as well as major local tournaments such as the Omantel League and the Sultan’s Cup.
In addition to football, the channel covers a wide range of sports including volleyball, handball, hockey, table tennis, and traditional sports. Oman Sports TV primarily serves Arabic-speaking viewers in Oman and the Middle East, while also reaching international audiences through satellite broadcasts, its official website, and online platforms like YouTube.
