Len TV 24, Leningrad Regional Television Company (LOT) is a regional television company broadcasting in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region. The television company talks about how the Leningrad region lives, about people, events and phenomena. The channel is funded by the government of the Leningrad region.
History
From June 6, 1994, broadcasting is carried out at its own frequency, and until 2019 also from 7:00 to 8:00 at frequencies of the Fifth Channel in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region and from 18:30 to 19:30 in cable networks.
In April 2014, satellite broadcasting on the Continent TV platform was launched from the Horizons-2 spacecraft.
August 26, 2015, broadcasting began on the network of the cable operator Rostelecom in St. Petersburg. The TV channel is included in the “Broadcast” service package.
By the decision of the Federal Competition Commission for Television and Radio Broadcasting dated February 15, 2017, the channel was selected as the mandatory publicly available regional channel (“21st Button”) of the Leningrad Region.
On January 24, 2019, Andrei Radin was replaced by Oleg Chernykh, the head of the iVyborg.ru Internet resource, a successful Internet resource in the Leningrad Region.
From July 1, 2019, broadcasting from the office in the business center on Helsingforgskaya street on the Vyborg side is carried out. On July 4, 2019, it became known about the upcoming rebranding of the channel and the television company. The bias will be set to increase live broadcast to 3-4 hours a day on weekdays and promote the channel on social networks. In the first half of July, 4 employees left the channel due to disagreements with the new management. It is expected that during 2019 the name of the TV channel and logo will be changed.
Since the end of August, the resources of Online47.ru and ivbg.ru have announced the launch of the Len TV 24 channel, which positions itself as a North-West channel.
On August 26, 2019, the channel rebranded, as a result of which the broadcasting network was substantially changed, and the channel became known as “Len TV 24”
