Videoregione is a local television network of Emilia-Romagna, based in Forlì, which focuses its programming on the cultural and informative climate of Romagna.

VideoRegion (sometimes referred to as Video Region) can be defined as the "flagship network" of the group of the same name which manages it together with two other regional networks: Canale 11 and Erreuno TV.

History

The network began its activities in 1984 by the small businessman Tiziano Tampellini (then president of Forlì Calcio), intending to enter the television market. Strengthened by an agreement with TeleRadioReporter, the network perceives its first location (a 200 square meter studio in Forlì in via Manzoni, 10) and its first frequency (UHF 63, coming from Monte Castellaccio and admissible up to Imola).

Since its founding, the network has mainly set up it is programming on self-produced programs, which occupy around 18 hours of their daily schedule, although there is no shortage of films, TV series, and documentaries, and discreet advertising revenues.

In 1987 many of the longest-running self-products were launched, including A treb, an entertainment program in Romagna sauce conducted by Gianni Siroli; The pizzicato, a sort of parody of the Maurizio Costanzo Show conducted by Sgabanaza (stage name of Piergiuseppe Bertaccini); Scacciapensieri, dedication program conducted since 1990 by Luana Babini, who celebrated the 5000th episode on December 17, 2005, and the local newscast.

Since 1988 the network has been broadcasting on UHF 22 from Monte Calderaio, whose signal also extends towardsCesena and Ravenna. Since 2011, following the switch-off of terrestrial digital television dell ' Emilia-Romagna (excluding the provinces of Parma and Piacenza), the network transmits solely on the LCN 12, whose signal covers also Bologna and Rimini.
