About A1 International

A-1 was incorporated in November of 1979 and A-1 COURIER SERVICES performed its first courier delivery in March of 1980. Our New York City and Detroit offices opened in April of 1981. In 1985, A-1 OFFICE SERVICES MANAGEMENT began providing mail center, duplicating and related office services outsourcing functions to our New York City and New Jersey customers.
In 1994, our Michigan operation began providing warehousing and distribution services for most of the major computer, electronics and communications parts suppliers in the country. A-1 LOGISTICS SOLUTIONS has grown to occupy a 35,000 square foot warehouse in Ferndale, MI. Our New York and New Jersey markets also provide third-party logistics warehousing and distribution services.
In January of 2005, A-1 purchased the New York City on-site and route delivery arm of Choice Courier Services and ACS Express Delivery, a New Jersey same-day delivery service formerly based in Perth Amboy, NJ. The two transactions added more than 180 employees to our company and added revenues of more than $8,000,000.
As a result of these buyouts, we have consolidated our NJ operation into new and larger quarters at Raritan Center in Edison, NJ, and have moved our New York operation into a larger space at 350 West Street in Manhattan.
Our prime activities are and remain to provide mail center and related office management services, logistics and warehouse solutions, and local same-day rush delivery services.
