Workpoint TV, widely known as Channel 23, is a major entertainment broadcaster in Thailand. It is operated by Thai Broadcasting Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of the Workpoint Entertainment group. Today, the channel reaches about 95% of the population through the country’s digital terrestrial television system.
The channel’s roots go back to 1989 when it was started as a production house by Phanya Nirunkul and Prapas Cholsaranon. After years of making hit game shows for other networks, they officially launched their own digital channel in 2014 and have since become a powerhouse in the industry.
What really sets Workpoint TV apart is its focus on variety shows, game shows, and music competitions rather than just traditional soap operas. They are behind massive hits like The Wall Duet, Mic On Debt Off, and 10 Fight 10. Many of their show formats are so successful that they have been sold to other countries—one famous example is Rap Viet in Vietnam.
Beyond entertainment, Workpoint also runs a solid news division under the brand Workpoint TODAY, which is highly trusted and has a huge following online. Even with all the competition from streaming apps, the channel stays in the top 4 most-watched stations in Thailand because they are great at keeping things fresh and interactive for younger viewers.
