Akaal Channel TV is the first UK channel under Sri Akal Takht Sahib. Our Focus is to bring our viewers with educational and informative content to promote the Sikh way of life, up-to-date news as happens across the world.
Primarily, a UK based Sikh-programming channel found on Sky 760. Akaal Channel provides religious, cultural and entertainment programming for Sikhs and non-Sikhs alike. Akaal Channel is the first-ever channel that broadcasts under the principles of Sri Akaal Takht Sahib.
This channel provides programs for the first, second and third generation of Sikh Punjabi community to get knowledge about Sikhism. Programs are broadcasted in English and Punjabi to be available for all. Akaal Channel respects the views of all thinkers of all communities and allows freedom of speech, however, all must respect the principles of Sri Akaal Takt Sahib.
Akaal Channel began its broadcasting on the 1ST September 2013 which lies on the date of the first Prakash of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, at Akaal Channel’s first opening in Soho Hill, Hockley, Birmingham, B19 1AA, UK.
