Mission
Spread education, science, art, national and universal culture. As well as promoting, conserving, and spreading Guatemalan art in all its manifestations. Raise the spiritual level of Guatemalans and contribute to the solution of the national problem.

Goals
- Strengthen the University of San Carlos with a television medium for the production and dissemination of educational, cultural, scientific, training, counseling, and informative programs that allow it to effectively fulfill its fundamental aims of teaching, extension, and research.
- Spread scientific, technological knowledge, university culture, and in general; as well as the promotion of the integral development of Guatemala.
- Link the university community with each other and with the different national sectors, seeking their orientation in aspects of health, education, democracy, human rights, agriculture, technology, environment, quality of life, among others.
- Promote the development of culture and national identity and the awareness of the different sectors of the Guatemalan population.
- Contribute to literacy and the training of professionals in the different areas of knowledge.
Institutional organization
TV USAC, corresponds to the General Directorate of University Extension of the University of San Carlos de Guatemala, an autonomous institution with legal status, with the character of the only state University.
