Little Saigon TV has broadcast since 1990 with its first appearance on KSCI (Channel 18). In 1993, Little Saigon TV transferred its programming to KRCA (Channel 62). Since 2000, KXLA Channel 44 has provided a multi-cultural language program with Little Saigon TV hosting the Vietnamese program.
Beginning in 2009, Little Saigon launched its the 24-hour programming with KXLA (Channel 44.4 Digital TV). Little Saigon TV is currently broadcasting 24/7 on channel 56.7, LA 18.9, Galaxy Satellite 19 and is a leader in strong news programming and entertainment.
Little Saigon TV (LSTV) is the first Vietnamese television network in the United States to broadcast live news reports. Little Saigon TV News broadcasts weekdays in the morning, noon, and evening and includes hourly headlines from renowned news source Cable News Networks (CNN), "The World's News Leader."
The LSTV prime news coverage features top stories and breaking news in the United States and around the world. There is also special coverage on occurrences in Vietnam as well as other countries in Asia. In addition, LSTV's expert reporting team provides news on local interests such as business, legal affairs, medicine and health, technology, and education.
LSTV Entertainment includes authentic Vietnamese movies & dramas with selected programming subtitled in English for the young Vietnamese Americans. Vietnamese music programs include music videos, concerts, comedy shows, lifestyle programming, and stories on top musicians/entertainers.
LSTV weekly Sports News covers popular national and international soccer, tennis, table tennis, golf, and volleyball tournaments. LSTV actively supports and covers regional games.
Documentaries & Education
LSTV features weekly programs for children and a variety of programs on Vietnamese culture covering lifestyle, food, fashion, social and environmental issues, medicine, a technology from both western and oriental cultures, health, and beauty. Programs are broadcast in the form of talk shows or special on-site reports.
