Global News Network

GNN or Global News Network was a dedicated news and public affairs cable channel based in the Philippines. It broadcasts through Sky Cable, Destiny Cable, and Cablelink nationwide and broadcast also in some parts of Asia through Global Satellite TV (GSAT), and online via live-tv-channels.org. Among the covered countries in Asia are Japan, North Korea, South Korea, China, Mongolia, Taiwan, Vietnam, Brunei, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Its studios are located at 6th floor, First Global Building #122 Gamboa St. Cor. Salcedo St., Legaspi Village, Makati City.

GNN started in 2003 as a community channel called Global Kabayan TV or GKTV, broadcasting community news, travel show, music videos, old movies, and infomercials. Four years later, GKTV 3 expanded and transformed in 2007 into what is called as the Philippine Cable TV or PCTV, delivering news and programs to all cable TV operators nationwide.

GNN over the past 3 years was able to establish itself as a channel that informs and educates. Its programming continues to improve to uphold its thrust of eventually empowering the Filipino nation. GNN mornings are dedicated to bringing the latest on the stock market with the ticker tape of the day's trading, it is partnered with business shows including discussion of SMEs, financial obligation and managing your budget, adjusting to the workplace and the corporate world and latest business innovations, technologies, and business. Anchors are experts in their field and offer in-depth analysis to help you survive in today's changing times.

Both GKTV 3 and PCTV are broadcasting news in the Filipino medium, until the need to shift to a wider medium and audience, thus giving birth in 2008 into Global News Network (GNN). GLOBAL NEWS NETWORK with the name itself highly recognizes the need to inform the public of the latest news happening around them. Every hour on top of the hour, newsbreaks are delivered from the GNN studio or from the field gathered by our own trained and reliable news reporters.

Afternoons are dedicated to Congress and Senate legislation, giving the viewing public a chance to see what happens in details during deliberations, and hearings at the lower house at the Senate. Free from annotation and editing, GNN's senate and congress TV are similar to Americas C-span created for the sole purpose of educating the public of how bills are passed and how their elected officials work for them.
