The OTV dream was born from a popular need for an unbiased source of information that addresses the challenges facing the nation through objective analysis and effective solutions. OTV aims to operate under specialized, qualified and dedicated management as an independent and diversified Television Station with the motto “For the People, By the People”, and to offer a grid of programs allying the entertaining and the culture while promoting modernism, freedom, and democracy. Our goal is to become a preeminent model of a just, impartial and independent media that goes beyond the call of duty and dares to tackle the most sensitive and important issues facing our nation, the region and the world.
OTV (Arabic: أو تي في) is a publicly-traded television station in Lebanon. It began broadcasting on 20 July 2007 on the Arabsat satellite, on the 11823MHz frequency. OTV launched officially in 2008 after a testing period of almost six months. OTV now covers the world through different broadcasting channels for the European Union, Canada, United States, Australia, and the Arab World. In addition, www.otv.com.lb offers live streaming coverage on the internet. The OTV main news bulletin is also broadcast on Sawt Al Mada Radio (92.5 & 92.7 MHz)
OTV targets all Lebanese residents in Lebanon and the Lebanese diaspora, and Arabs in general.
