Jordan Radio and Television Corporation (JRTV) is the state broadcaster of Jordan. Jordan Sport TV offers sports events. Programs are in Arabic, French and English language.
The beginning was in September 1948 from Al-Quds Al-Sharif, and in 1950 the radio became the name it now holds "Radio Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan".
In 1956 was the establishment of a second station was inaugurated by His Majesty the late King Hussein Bin Talal in Jabal Al Hussein in Amman, and on July 11, 1966, was laying the foundation stone for the building of the TV, turning the Jordanian TV to the color scheme as the first Arab station in 1974.

في عام 1956 تم إنشاء محطة ثانية افتتحها جلالة المغفور له الملك الحسين بن طلال في جبل الحسين بعمان، وفي 11 تموز 1966 تم إرساء حجر الأساس لمبنى التلفزيون، وتحول التلفزيون الأردني إلى نظام الألوان كأول محطة عربية عام 1974.
تحقق الاندماج بين الإذاعة والتلفزيون عام1985 بصدور قانون مؤسسة الإذاعة والتلفزيون.
