History

In the 70s, a closed-circuit television signal, Channel 2, worked in the city of San Luis.

On Colón Street, located in the downtown area of the capital of San Luis, it was the scene of the dreams of those who would be the pioneers of open television in that province.

It was the year 1972 and when arriving on December 24, it changes to its current frequency LV 90 TV Channel 13. On Christmas Eve of that year, it is marked as the day of the first transmission.

The channel remained on Calle Colón until 1978, when the World Cup, which was held for the first time in Argentina, and the premiere of Color Television, were sufficient reasons for the provincial government authorities to decide to transfer the studies to the White Bridge area, where they are currently on Avenida del Fundador 985.

In 1983, with the arrival of the democratic government, the area of influence of Channel 13 grew by installing a network of repeaters that took the image of the province of San Luis to the neighboring provinces.

The programming of Channel 13 besides having local programming, consisted of repetitions of Channel 9 Freedom; Azul Televisión, Argentina Color Television and Channel 13 of Buenos Aires.

In the year 2000, during the change of corporate image and the commercial name San Luis Teve, it used to broadcast the Telefe signal as an independent repeater.

On April 1, 2008, after the arrival of the satellite transmission, San Luis Teve is renamed San Luis SAT1.

In mid-2009, the channel stopped broadcasting part of Telefe's programming as a repeater and, later, it added new locally produced programming.

In 2010, its original name returns as Channel 13. A year later, the station was launched on Digital Terrestrial Television on December 14, 2011.

In January 2013, the provincial government proposed a remodeling and expansion project for the channel's transmission plant that, until 2015, was inaugurated.

In 2017, he launched his own High Definition signal, known as Channel Thirteen HD.
